The Route of the Exodus and the Location of Mount Sinai

Over the past 48 years I have had the opportunity to visit almost all parts of the Bible World. I certainly have not solved all of the problems that are raised about locations of certain events, but I have tried to look at the major claims whether it is the location of Cana, the site for the baptism of Jesus, the place of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus, the location of Ararat, or the route of the exodus and the location of Mount Sinai, et al.

In this post I have pulled together a list of some things I have written about the route of the Exodus and the location of Mount Sinai. I hope you will find the posts helpful when you study this subject.

  1. 1 – Exodus 12 says, “Now the sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men [of fighting age, older than 20 and younger than 55, with no handicaps, height, weight, blind, deaf, lam] on foot. A mixed multitude [of women, children, and others] also went up with them, along with flocks and herds, a very large number of livestock” (Exodus 12:37-38).

    There would have been well over a million people in the Exodus, some believe close to two million, because God’s census only included men able to fight, 20 years old or older, and that count came to 603,550 (Numbers 1:2-3, 1:46). So let’s move the map to the ancient city of Rameses, also called Pi Ramesses, which is modern day Qantir[4], about 30 miles west of the Sinai Peninsula, and imagine that great number of Hebrews leaving boldly (Numbers 33:3; Exodus 14:8) out of the Egyptian capitol they built as slaves[5].

    OBS: INCORRECT: City of Rameses was built some 140 years after EXODUS (circa 1405 BCE) at time of Ramses II, -born by 1304 BCE, died at 1214 BCE.

    RA ‘mses , is just lands in separate waters, divided waters, splitted waters, is THE SAME AS GOS(H)EN.
    Pi Ramesses, is the set of PI – mouth of waters, canals, arms or legs of waters;
    RAMESSES, is RA/RE (god sun rays), Mi – separated, ESSE waters, ES – as per its image (DELTA letter greek)
     So Pi Ramesses is just the “hydrological Network of the Nile Delta.
     Ra ‘MSES, is GOSEN, GOSHEN, GESEM (greek), Gessem (Aramaic), Kessem (Syriac), Kesem (Egyptian)
     G is lands, areas, territories;
     OSE, OSHE, ESE, ESSE is waters;
     Ni is river;
     MI is separated, divided
    So Gos(H)en, gesem, kesem is the (hydrographical Basin/BOWL of the Nile Delta.

    ADDING Gosen to PI RAMESSES, we got PER ERE-MA-SE-SE PER RAMESESE:
    PER – house, region,
    ERE – territory, estates, areas,
    Mi- divided,
    ESSE – waters
    SE – united, union, joint

    SO PER RA ME SE SE is the united/unified territory of divided lands and waters, that is, the global territory of the NILE delta. NOTHING TO DO OR TO SEE WITH RAMSES II.
    PHARAOH Cacauré Senuserete III or Sesóstris III or his son Nimaetré Amenemate III or Amenemés II WAS THE PHARAOH WHO TOLD JOSEPH IN 1835 BCE, WHEN JACOB/ISRAEL ARRIVED AT EGYPT, “GIVE YOUR FATHER THE BEST OF GOS(E)N (LANDS THAT ARE IN (PI) –RAMESES AT THE EASTERN SIDE OF THE DELTA, 430 YEARS BEFORE EXODUS AT 1405 BCE, at time of Pharaoh Amonhotep/Amenhoted/Amenophis II.

    2 – “Then they set out from Succoth and camped in Etham, on the edge of the wilderness” (Exodus 13:20; Numbers 33:6). This is where different routes to the Red Sea have been proposed, because the locations of Succoth and Etham were mixed up or not certain.

    OBS: Between SOCCOTH (cabins or tents by wadi el arish walls of sentinels) and ETHAN (heb/Israel)/ITHAN (egyptian for fortress) in the joining point of RED SEA and GULF OF SUEZ is quite a great distance (two weeks travel).

    3 – ROUTE: Moses took the road leading to the desert (sand Banks NUWEIBAH beach) of RED SEA yam SUF AKABAH.
    3.1 ) Then routed south, passed MIGDOL(Heb/Israel) – MIKTOR (Egyptian):
    MI – SEPARATED, DIVIDED, SPLITTED
    K – LANDS, AREAS, SURFACES, SPACES, GORGES,
    T – FACE OF
    O – BIG
    OR – MOUNTAIN,

    Kind of human hands fingers separated when hand is opened.
    3.2 – Pi Hairoth, – mouth of water, small bay, swamp, in Sinai peninsula ashore the modern RED SEA YAM SOF
    3.3 – BAAL ZAPHON – island at Tyran Strait
    3.4 – encamped between MIGDOL/MIKTOR and “THE SEA”, THAT IS “THE (modern) RED SEA YAM SOF.
    3.5 – YAM SOF WAS A NAME USED FOR RED SEA, meaning sea of the end, sea of the end of the world

    4 – HOREB, is HOR -mount and arb is sands, wilderness, desert, possibly JEBEL/JABAL MAKLA, the highest mount near MYDDIAN (AL BAD).
    4.1 – Mount SINAI (SIN, “double” and “AI” peaks) is a mountain after HOREB, in JEBEL AL LAWZ RANGE.

    5 – The 3 days walk up to encamp ashore the RED SEA, is not after leaving GOS(H)EN, but after crossing the (modern) RED SEA “YAM SOF”. Not REED SEA (Yam twf), near the goshen lakes (manala, etc.).

    6 – DATE of EXODUS
    DATE OF EXODUS
    1 – According to some archaeologists Abra(ha)m must have born by 2161/93 BCE.
    By BIBLE he left UR the bright city towards HARÃ.
    According to history UR Kingdom was destroyed by 2111 BCE, by an attack of the BENI YAMININI, horsemen riders that had destroyed some kingdoms north as nuzi, mari, etc.
    According to the book of Jubilees, Abraham left UR at 60.
    This surely had to be before 2.111 BCE, let’s say 2.112 BCE. So Abraham should be born by 2.171.
    Isaac born by 2.071
    Jacob/Israel and Esau born by 1.971
    Joseph was born 1.872, when Jacob was 99 yrs old (see talks Jacob/Pharaoh)
    Joseph was sold at 17, by 1.855
    Joseph, vizir, at 30.th, by 1.842
    Jacob routed Egypt, 8.th year of famine, by 1.835
    (GOD told Abraham, “Israel (Jacob’s family) will down to Egypt and wondering there by 430 years before/until I SHALL take them out from there; and they will be oppessed.
    So EXODUS, thus, took place at 1.405 BCE.

    2 – According to merneptah stele “I at my 5.th year o government and 2.nd of my reigning attacked the state of Israel, destroyed many houses and cities, and burned their farms and crops, and barns and killed a lot of cattle.
    -well Moses died at 40 Exodus and he didn’t enter Promised LAND
    – Joshua died at 71 Exodus and was never defeated
    – Elders leaded for 50 years till year 122 Exodus
    – Cusã Risataim oppressed Israel for 8 yrs, till 132 exodus
    – OTNIEL freed them and died at 173 exodus
    – MOAB oppressed Israel for 18 years till 192 after exodus.

    In the last year Tribe of JUDAH was attacked by people from Negev and GOSEN/GOSHEN (Nile delta-egypt) who did to Israel what merneptah says he did.
    – Since Ramses II died at 90 (190 after exodus), it means Ramses II was born at 101 after EXODUS.
    – Ramses II was born, as per archaeology at 1.304 BCE, so exodus took place 1.304 BCE + 101 = 1.405 BCE for EXODUS.
    – ———

    3 – Shawl Paul of tarsus, wrote that King Solomon began governing 430 years after Israelites entered Canaan.
    – We do not know when Solomon began governing, but he began reigning 971/970 BCE.
    – Adding 430 yrs, it comes to 1.401/1.400 BCE. Adding 1 year after Exodus we get 1.402/01 BCE, for the entry in Canaan if we count 430 yrs after Solomon would begin reigning.
    – So adding 2/3 years of co-regency at last years of David, we come to say exodus should have been by 1.405/1.403 BCE.

    ++++++
    4 – Dating with Carbon 14 (USA) plus Calcium Carbide correction (Australia), some mud plates from Canaan city states of Canaan, “asking pharaoh’s help to stop apirus/abirus/Israelites the fled Egypt approaching their lands” as being written by 1.404 BCE, we add 1 year of stay at Sinai/Mydian, then we get Exodus happening at 1.405 BCE.

    ++++
    5 – LXX greek bible, say Moses left Goshen 440 years after Jerusalem Temple Building, placing Exodus date: 967/966 BCE PLUS 440 Years, equal 1406/1405 BCE.

    6 – BOOK OF KINGS:

    – Book of KINGS, Temple of Jerusalem

    On the second day (17) of the second month (April) of the fourth year of Solomon’s Reign:

    971/970 BCE
    970/969 BCE
    969/968 BCE
    968/967 BCE, temple construction begins.

    adding up to 480 years after the Israelites left Egypt,

    we have 1448/47 BCE for the Exodus.

    Since we go over 1000 years, we can take 1 year off, and that gives us 1447/46 BC.

    There is a historian/commentator/analyst who says he has read some very old manuscripts where this was translated as follows:

    “480 years after the Israelites left Egypt with the parting of the waters.”

    Since we already knew about the parting of the Red Sea (Yam SOF), there was no reason to leave this mention in the Old Testament Bible.

    I believe that this text written like this, should have been made from Scripture intact and not cut out. WHY??????

    TRANSLATION ERROR, WORD FOR WORD TRANSLATION.

    THE CORRECT TRANSLATION WOULD HAVE BEEN:

    480 YEARS AFTER THE ISRAELITE “separated from the waters) – even so

    “water-separated”

    is the precious name of the Israelite MOSES.

    In this way the text of Kings about the construction of the Temple by Solomon, would be

    “480 years after the Israelite Moses left Egypt”. (already now expelled by Pharaoh known as the Pharaoh Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte of Egypt, Thutmose/Thutmose/Thutmosis III, adopted cousin of Moses, son of Pharaoh’s third wife husband of the princess who adopted Moses as his son).

    1447/46 BC Moses leaves Egypt and goes to Midian, where he stays until 1407/06 BC.
    He returns to Egypt and in 1406/05 BCE launches 7 plagues, from the death of the Nile to the Plague of the Locusts.
    In 1405/04 BCE:

    January Plague of Frost/Hail/Hail
    February plague of the Sun sleep 3 days
    March 29/30 Passover/Seder
    30/31 March 30/31 EXODUS

    7 – ABRAHAM
